Houston Technology Center CEO To Retire Early Next Year

Walter Ulrich announces his retirement Feb 1, 2017

Houston Technology Center announced this morning that Walter Ulrich, President and CEO, will retire February 1, 2017. Walter will have served the Houston Technology Center for ten years.

“What a privilege and joy it has been to serve this community,” said Walter. “I continue to be amazed and inspired by the entrepreneurs and the innovators who are supported by a dedicated staff and nearly 300 volunteers. These have been great years. Thank you to our many sponsors and Board members whose generosity have had such an impact on the community.”

Tom Gros, Chairman of the Board of the Houston Technology Center, commented, “Walter is a passionate leader who has served Houston’s entrepreneurial community for a decade. We thank him for his service and for extending his term through 2016, a challenging year for any non-profit, in order to ensure HTC’s continued success.”

Houston Technology Center is initiating a carefully planned and deliberate search process to recruit a new CEO. Both internal and external candidates will be considered by an outside search organization on behalf of the HTC Board of Directors.
