HTC's Emerging Markets Group focuses on helping early stage Minority and Women-owned (MWO) technology businesses get to market by reaching out to entrepreneurs in these communities to ensure a rich diversity of technology companies in Houston.

The team identifies Houston-based emerging early stage technology companies and provides guidance to these entrepreneurs to help facilitate their entry to the HTC process.

The EMG client base includes:

• Small Technology Based Businesses
• Minority and Women Owned Businesses
• Businesses that qualify as or are certified as a Minority Business Enterprise

EMG Client Company Guidelines:

• Have headquarters in Greater Houston
• Have a strategy based on emerging technology (including technology services) that is based on new, proprietary technology
• Demonstrated capability and scalability
• Willingness to assemble an appropriate management team and desire to receive coaching
