SpaceUp Houston “E2E” Event Links Engineers and Entrepreneurs

Collaboration with Texas’ Largest Technology Incubator, Houston Technology Center: Commercializing Innovations

Houston, TX – October 4, 2011 – SpaceUp Houston and the Houston Technology Center will host an E2E (Engineer to Entrepreneur) workshop on October 8th at the Lunar & Planetary Institute (LPI) in Houston, TX from 6 pm to 9:30 pm.  Tickets are $5 and are available at Each ticket provides access to the event, as well as appetizers and non-alcoholic drinks.

Members from the HTC community will discuss sharing potential technologies in the three dominant technology domains in the region: IT, life sciences, and energy.  Speakers include Steven González, NASA Executive on Loan at the HTC, Deborah Mansfield, Director of Life Sciences Acceleration at the HTC, and Robert Moctezuma, a serial entrepreneur, HTC board member, and angel investor. 

An unconference-style breakout session will allow attendee-driven discussion between the various participants, followed by an E2E networking session with one-to-one access to engineers and entrepreneurs in a causal setting. In addition to the speakers, entrepreneurs on hand will include Greg Wright, Director of IT Acceleration at the HTC, Keith Thayer, Energy Advisor at the HTC, and Tyra Rankin, Energy Advisor at the HTC.

This will be the fourth SpaceUp event in Houston and is being planned and promoted by members of the Houston Technology Center and SpaceUp Houston.
