Shea Writing and Training Solutions named to the HOUSTON FAST 100 List

Shea Writing and Training Solutions named to the HOUSTON FAST 100 list, winner of the 2010 Enterprise Champion award, and featured on the front page of the Houston Business Journal.

Houston, September 24, 2010 – Houston’s 100 fastest growing companies were honored at the Houston Fast 100 luncheon presented by the Houston Business Journal and held at the Westin Galleria Hotel. Shea Writing & Training Solutions, Inc. was ranked as No. 81 with a growth of 11.18% from 2007 and 2009 (all companies were ranked by percentage of revenue growth over
the past two years). However, Shea is no stranger to the Fast 100 list. This 13 year old company also made the list in 2000, 2007, and 2008.
Ten of the 100 companies went through a vigorous interviewing process in front of six judges to compete for the Enterprise Champion award. At the luncheon the four winners of the award were announced. Shea Writing & Training Solutions was one of the four 2010 Enterprise Champion winners along with Amputee & Prosthetic Center, ExperTox and, Schipul – the Web
Marketing Co. The Enterprise Champion award is awarded to well-rounded companies that offer great benefits to employees, maintain a strong company culture, and give back to their communities.
Evalyn Shea started the technical writing and training company in 1997 with the development of a set of standard operating procedures and training manuals for a major oil and gas company. More recently, the company has been heavily involved in editing BP’s Accident Investigation Report, Containment and Disposal procedures, and supporting the Incident Management Team in the Crisis Management Center. Shea Writing & Training Solutions was featured on the front page of the September 24 issue of the Houston Business Journal because of this involvement with the BP investigation.
In addition to the list of Houston’s 100 fastest-growing companies published in the special HBJ Houston Fast 100 section and being featured on the front page of the September 24 issue — top executives of some of the honored businesses shared their insights on what to do and what not to do to succeed.
