HOUSTON (July 23, 2007) - Houston Technology Center (HTC), Greater Houston’s business accelerator and the largest technology business incubator in Texas, announced today that Marc Nathan has joined HTC as Director of Development, Information Technology. 

Marc Nathan is a native Houstonian and founder of Bulldog Financial, a boutique investment and venture management group focused on seed and early stage companies. An experienced Angel investor himself, Marc has helped guide businesses involved with fund raising, marketing and promotion and project management.

“We are delighted to have someone with Marc Nathan’s experience become part of the Acceleration Program at HTC”, said Walter Ulrich, President and CEO. “Marc’s involvement with the local IT community and experience as an investor will be invaluable to our Client companies who are seeking funding and business guidance in their quest to commercialize their technologies”.

HTC’s Information Technology Acceleration Program provides strategic and tactical management, as well as investment-related advice to Houston-area early stage technology companies developing software, hardware and services that can also be applied in many other areas, including energy, life sciences, media, telecommunications and more.

Deeply committed to enhancing the profile of HTC, Marc has been involved with several organizations that support this endeavor, including the Houston Angel Network, Rice Alliance, TEXchange, and MIT Forum as well as grassroots organizations such as NetSquared, Refresh Houston, and Open Coffee Club. "I am extremely excited to join the team at HTC. I have been an active volunteer since the organization’s formative years and am thrilled to work with HTC''s staff and new leadership in extending their vision into the future”, stated Nathan.

Marc Nathan will be replacing the current Director of Technology Programs at HTC, Robert Brackenridge, who is launching a new online community, Konstruction Zone, focused on developing quality playtime between parents and their children through the usage of construction toys.
