2008 HTC Graduate, Visualase, acquired by Medtronic
Walter Ulrich congratulates Houston-based Visualase, Inc.’s leadership and staff on its exciting transaction with Medtronic worth as much as $105 million, “Visualase developed a break through laser technology for minimally invasive surgery for neurology, urology and general surgery. Its image-guided system uses light energy to attack soft tissue. Visualase is another great story for Houston Life Sciences companies who have enjoyed transactions in excess of half a billion dollars in the last 12 months.”
Visualase was approved in 2007 for a $750,000 award from the Texas Emerging Technology Fund and is a 2008 Houston Technology Center Graduate.
