GHP: The New Pro-Growth Agenda

The Houston region recovered from the collapse of the oil boom in the 1980s to find itself in the midst of a restructured economy and a demographic revolution. The official release of the 2011 "Kinder Houston Area Survey" by Rice University Sociology Professor Stephen Klineberg, co-director of the Kinder Institute for Urban Research, presents the latest survey findings and reviews three decades of research tracking the changes in the region's economy, population, experiences and attitudes. It also considers the implications of these research findings for the public policies that will foster sustained economic growth in the years ahead.
