Accelerating a Business Plan at Warp Speed

Tyrell, Inc. is a start-up company formed to develop and market a revolutionary new medical device to treat acne.  The first in a series of potential products, the “Z-Stick” utilizes Tyrell’s patent-pending technology and will be sold as an over-the-counter (OTC) product.  One year ago, the founder of Tyrell had developed the conceptual design for the “Z-Stick”, but needed funding to develop and commercialize it.  A presentation to the Houston Angel Network led to the Tyrell founder being introduced to Wally Klemp (former CEO of Drypers), who became so intrigued with Tyrell that he joined the company as its CEO.  Tyrell just closed a $3 million Series A financing round and is now entering the commercialization phase of product development.

This program will tell the story of how Tyrell attracted a world-class CEO with a proven track record, raised $3 million from private investors, and will bring the “Z-Stick” from concept to market in little more than a year.  This presentation also will illustrate how the combined personal network of a group of friends can make great things happen at warp speed.
