The Austin Wireless Alliance and the Central Texas Angel Network are proud to announce the first annual Wireless Seed Stage Forum on October 17th in Austin, Texas.
The event will be hosted by the Austin Technology Incubator, a non-profit program of the IC2 Institute of The University of Texas at Austin. The Wireless Seed Stage Forum is designed to match promising seed stage wireless start-ups with experienced investors seeking funding opportunities in the space.
The Wireless Seed Stage Forum seeks to fill the funding gap many entrepreneurs currently face. This gap is most pronounced between one-hundred thousand and two million dollars in required funding. With less than three percent of venture capital funding going to seed stage deals over the last three years, many entrepreneurs lack access to capital during this crucial phase of their company’s growth.
The Wireless Seed Stage Forum will invite vetted seed stage wireless start-ups to attend this one-of-a-kind event and ask a select number of them to pitch their deals to investors. The Wireless Seed Stage Forum will provide an environment for investors to quickly evaluate a group of pre-qualified deals.
The Wireless Seed Stage Forum will coincide with the Texas Wireless Summit (October 18-19). The Texas Wireless Summit, now in its fourth year, is the premier conference for industry leaders to discuss and plan for the business models and disruptive technologies that will define the future of the wireless industry.
