”Nanotechnology and Medicine:  How Innovations in Nanotechnology Will Revolutionize Medicine”

Please join us at our annual summer kick-off event to celebrate the start of the seventh year of the Rice Alliance and to celebrate technology entrepreneurship in Houston.  We are delighted to host Dr. Mauro Ferrari, President of the Texas Alliance for NanoHealth.  Dr. Ferrari was recently recruited to Texas to make Houston the global leader in nanotechnology and medicine.  Join us for the best networking in town and to learn more about the vision for the future of medicine.

Dr. Ferrari is one of the foremost experts in applying breakthroughs in nanotechnology to improve healthcare, particularly in early diagnosis and treatment of cancer and heart disease.  Based on recent studies, many cancer researchers believe that nanotechnology will play a critical role in detecting cancer in its earliest and most treatable stages.

U.S. Congressman John Culberson will make introductory remarks at the event.  Congressman Culberson was a key member of the team that recruited Dr. Ferrari to Houston.

Dr. Ferrari will discuss his vision of Houston as the leading center in nanotechnology and medicine.
