On November 15–17, 2016, SpaceCom — the Space Commerce Conference and Exposition — will present a powerful three-day event engineered to highlight the intersection points between terrestrial industries and the aerospace community.

SpaceCom is a catalyst to developing a sustainable commercial market ecosystem in LEO and sub-orbital environments, which expands beyond reliance on NASA as a primary customer and launch provider. While historically, the commercial space market was substantially enabled by government sponsors, SpaceCom helps terrestrial businesses charter new markets that are both business-to-government AND business-to-business.

SpaceCom 2016 will explore business opportunities from, and between, space and terrestrial industries, with an emphasis on common technology challenges across industries. It will also explore ways to create and capitalize on new business opportunities.

The crossover between terrestrial and aerospace industries truly makes SpaceCom a one-of-a-kind event!

Space Applications Fueling Business Innovation

In 2016, SpaceCom will focus on the intersection points of the following five terrestrial industries:

  • Advanced Manufacturing
  • Agribusiness
  • Energy
  • Maritime
  • Medicine

Throughout the interactive, three-day conference program, attendees will benefit from high-impact, engagement opportunities that:

  • Connect terrestrial and aerospace executives to increase sales and market share
  • Educate on how rapidly increasing amounts of data form satellites in space can drive new global commercial markets on Earth
  • Highlight the gaps in technology in NASA and the space sector that cross-industry technologies could possibly fill
  • Accelerate the full commercial utilization of the International Space Station (ISS) by commercial enterprises during its useful life and driving the development of other viable business models for private industry outside of ISS
  • Foster co-development of new technologies and partnerships between NASA and industry to allow humankind to expand beyond low Earth orbit in a meaningful and cost-effective way
  • Showcase the vibrant investment community focused on space-related activities
