About Alex Rozenfeld:

Alex Rozenfeld is a Venture Principal and founding team member at Shell Technology Ventures (STV), Shell's corporate Venture Capital fund. STV invests globally in technology companies focused on the oil & gas and future energy (clean/green tech) markets, as well as IT and mobile technologies that support them. STV’s goal is to create strategic value for Shell through the growth and internal deployment of technology.  

Alex leads direct investments, with principal responsibilities for investing in Venture Capital funds aligned to STV strategy. Alex has worked extensively internationally for Shell, including in The Netherlands and Russia. Highlights include GameChanger (Shell’s “Angel Capital” group) and business development of Liquefied Natural Gas and Gas to Liquids projects. Prior to Shell, Alex worked with several energy VCs, and managed gas and power business opportunities at Texaco.

Alex is an active supporter of the Houston energy entrepreneurship community. He is the energy committee co-chair of the Houston Angels Network, Advisory Board member of the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, and an active advisor to the Houston Technology Center and to SURGE Accelerator.

Alex’s interests include travel, photography and spending time with his family. Alex received his engineering bachelors from Princeton University and MBA from MIT’s Sloan School.
