  • Head south on I-45

  • Merge onto Nasa Bypass via EXIT 24 and take the first exit heading to Highway 3.

  • Turn right onto Hwy 3.

  • Cross over FM 518 and the next light will be Walker St., turn right.

  • The second driveway on the right will be the entrance for parking at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center.

 Chad Burke provides oversight and direction of all operational and financial considerations of the Economic Alliance, the economic development corporation for the Houston Ship Channel region, the nation’s largest petrochemical complex and second largest port. The Economic Alliance’s mission is to grow this vital regional economy by attracting new businesses and creating an environment where existing businesses can expand. The Economic Alliance includes 11 cities, Harris County, the Port of Houston, 10 Chambers of Commerce, over 150 private member companies, and East Harris County Manufacturers Association (131 petrochemical plants).



Economic development activities are provided through committees made up of hundreds of member volunteers. Oversight of Committees includes Public Policy, New Business Development, Mayors’ Leadership Council, Transportation, Business Growth, Manufacturing and Quality of Life as well as the San Jacinto Texas Historic District and its projects.
