Dr. Patton is President and CEO of Medical Innovaton Labs (Austin, TX). He received his
MS in Biomedical Engineering from UT‐Austin and his MD from UTMB. His career has
been dedicated to improving healthcare through innovaton. He founded Patton
Surgical and develop an award‐winning line of laparoscopic instruments which became
standard of care devices at leading children’s and university hospitals. In 2012, Patton
Surgical was acquired by a Fortune 500 company. In addition to founding Medical
Innovation Labs, Dr. Patton recently started the “Medical Foundation for Children” to
develop medical devices designed for infants and children.
