Advanced materials is likely to be the first sector significantly impacted by nanotechnology. Sporting goods is the first market to take advantage of nano-enhancement, but aerospace is the next frontier—with nano-research and development underway.

This continuation of our popular Rice-HTC "NANO Short Course" series provides a greater understanding of advanced materials and how nanoparticles are incorporated into them. it explores the breadth of advantages offered by nanoparticle incorporation, as well as the aerospace applications available with nano-enhanced materials.

Which then rolls right into Houston's fourth annual Battle of the Business Bands. The evening begins with the 40 Under 40, a premier awards program that identifies the next 40 leaders who excel in their industry, are respected business leaders, and show dynamic leadership in their community. The 40 will be announced mid-March. Each of the 40 will be in the spotlight on May 20th as they receive their award on stage in front of 500 of their Houston peers. Once the awards are all given out, then the post awards party begins! The post awards party is the fourth annual Battle of the Business Bands. Come hear Houston's CEOs who rock. Some of the best bands in town are led by CEOs and executives of Houston companies. These CEO bands cover music from classic to contemporary rock. We havefive bands performing live Thursday, May 2oth, and will be judged by a team of local executives and DJs. At the end of thefive performances, the audience will text vote for their favorite band. The winner will receive the coveted Celebrate!Enterprise fender guitar!
