TECH CONNECTION OFFERS HOUSTON’S TECHNOLOGY ENTREPRENEURS ACCESS TO ESSENTIAL RESOURCES FOR GROWTH IN 2009 

HOUSTON January 23, 2009 - The Houston Technology Center (HTC), a business accelerator that assists Houston-based emerging technology companies, will host Tech Connection on Wednesday, January 28 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Houston. This unique event, co-sponsored by the Greater Houston Partnership, will offer emerging technology companies and local businesses a single point of access to Houston’s top technology leaders.

Featured guests will include representatives from BioHouston, the Houston Angel Network, the Greater Houston Partnership, MIT Enterprise Forum of Texas, University of Houston Small Business Development Center Network, the Houston Technology Center and HTC Americas, and Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship. HTC’s Emerging Technology Council Chair and Houston’s High Tech Texan®, Michael Garfield, will kick off the event. Both the expo and networking reception are included in the $25 price.

“This is a dream event for technology entrepreneurs and especially for emerging companies that need financial or operational support,” said Walter Ulrich, president and chief executive officer of HTC. “The featured guests are the most important decision makers and influencers in the Houston region, and they are an invaluable resource to those trying to learn how to grow their businesses in 2009.”
